Begin with a visit to the former home of famous novelist Karen Von Blixen.The house contains many of her original pieces along with some pieces donated by the makers of the film “Out of Africa”. The beautiful gardens boast a spectacular view of the Ngong Hills, where Denis Finch-Hatton , Karen’s lover who died in a tragic airplane accident in Tsavo,lays buried.
Stop at the Kazuri Bead Factory where you have an opportunity to see how the beads are made. Then continue to the Giraffe Centre where you have the opportunity to feed the Giraffe from an elevated platform. The nearby Giraffe Centre is a sanctuary for the rare and protected Rothschild Giraffe, one of the 3 races of giraffe found in Kenya .One may touch , and feed by hand the beautiful creatures that live in the private reserve of the Giraffe Manor.
